Hai Phong City is focusing on preparing for 11 major key projects which are expected to be started at the fastest speed in 2019. Specifically:
1. The project to invest in renovating and upgrading Road 356 (the section from Ang Soi T-junction to residential quarter No. 2, Cat Ba town-Cat Ba island), scheduled to begin in May 2019;
2. Investment project to build a road connecting Nam Cau Binh intersection to T-junction Ton Duc Thang – Water Trough – National Road 5, scheduled to start in June 2019;
3. Investment project to build a road connecting Lang Am bridge, Ly Hoc commune, Vinh Bao district to a coastal road, expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2019;
4. An investment project to build and expand a coastal road section running through the territory of Hai Phong city, from 353 road to Thai Binh bridge (Km0-Km19 + 645), is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2019.
5. Next, Cau Rao 1 investment and construction project (the road leading to Do Son tourist area) is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2019;
6. Song Hoa bridge investment and construction project, connecting Trang Trinh cultural relic site – Vinh Bao district with Thai Thuy and Thai Binh districts, expected to commence in May 2019;
7. Quang Thanh Bridge investment and construction project (spanning Van Uc river, linking the Voi mountain scenic-An Lao district with Thanh Ha and Hai Duong districts), expected to commence in September 2019;
8. Dinh Cau Bridge investment and construction project (spanning Han river, connecting Thuy Nguyen district with Kinh Mon district, Hai Duong), scheduled to start in September 2019;
9. Ho Sen – Cau Rao 2 axis road construction and investment project, the section from Nguyen Van Linh intersection to the Con street junction (the main road section), scheduled to begin in June 2019;
10. Investment project to renovate and expand intersection of Nga 5 Kien An intersection, expected to start in October 2019;
11. Finally, the project of expanding Cat Bi International Airport Phase 2 is scheduled to begin in October 2019. These projects, implemented by contractors committed to the city, are very urgent.
After the projects are completed, it will contribute to improving the quality of transport infrastructure, creating trade arteries with other provinces and cities, promoting further socio-economic development, tourism of the port city.
